Lake Lismore BEE Pottery

I love Bees. I enjoy photographing them, I want to save them and I even build homes for them. Bees make me happy, so it only stands to reason that my team teardrop trailer should come with bee bowls and plates.

A few years ago, I bought the cutest ice cream bowls and a couple of cereal bowls from a lady at the Kernersville Honey Bee Festival. I love these bowls made with clay sourced from North Carolina and glaze sourced from the USA. Not long after I got the little camper, I ordered a big bowl and two more cereal bowls. I figure the big bowl is perfect for salads and mixing things….and the smaller bowls work for some of my favorite camp stew recipes.

She didn’t have any plates listed on her Etsy site, so I sent her a message asking if she had any plates that I could purchase. She is making 2 bee plates for me that match the rest of the set! I am so excited because she says that they will be done before the end of the month– I am going to pick them up from her before our trip.

If you like these bowls pictures, you can order them here. She has other pottery available. I am just partial to the bees.

I’m counting down to our annual birthday trip. This is going to be the best one ever!

Love the BEE pottery! My mom was an artist and became a potter in her 40s. She and my dad opened a pottery in the 1970s. Good memories.
