About Me
Life isn’t a fairytale. It’s an obstacle course where we constantly find ourselves carrying our crosses. With Jesus, we can successfully navigate the course of life, carry our crosses to the finish line and hopefully hear, “Well done, my good and faithful servant,” when this life comes to an end. Jesus didn’t promise it would be easy, but He did promise eternal life to His faithful servants. That said, I still like to dream about fairytales!
5 years ago, after 24 years of marriage, my husband left. I came home one afternoon from my youngest son’s football game to find he had moved out–complete with most of the stuff. He ended a 24 year marriage with a text letting me know we had not been robbed, that he was moving out.
This blog isn’t about him or our marriage, I write that as a bit about me and where I come from. After living in fear the first few years after he left, I recreated myself. I decided to stop living in fear and decided to LIVE. Yes, LIVE the life God gave me to the fullest. I bought a Jeep, a kayak and most recently, a little red bike. I haven’t looked back…… I am currently living my BEST life– the best life I have in all of my 53 years. If you are living in fear, I am here to tell you that God has His best in store for you. Cast aside your fear, cling to His promises and live the one life He gave you to the fullest.
I homeschooled my three boys for 17 years and am currently employed full time. Two of my boys have graduated from college now and my youngest graduates soon. I am blessed and maybe my journey can give others hope. It’s not easy being tossed out of an airplane without a parachute and starting over at 48 years old. I got here because of God’s abundant grace and blessings. He, and He alone, gave me the strength to persevere, to live without fear and to create the life that HE wants me to live.
