Dramatic Huskies

We’ve all seen husky videos. They are a very dramatic breed. We’ve tried trimming Ghost’s paw furs for months. He cries. He head butts us on accident. We finally gave up and brought him to the groomer.

She was able to do everything except his paws. Doesn’t he look great, though? We made an appointment for the 31st just for a little trim. We are hoping that bringing him again will help him get used to it.

We’ve been working on getting him better with us messing with his paws, too. So far, it’s helping….. just a little.

Ammy is not quite as dramatic, but she does have the drama gene, too. I recently bought her a pink tutu. Oddly enough, one person on social media was quite upset that I put a pink tutu on her. Why? Because she’s a working dog breed. What? These huskies, while they come from a line of working dogs, would stare at us harshly if we tried to make them “work”. They are very pampered huskies. You really cannot make this stuff up. It’s just a cute little tutu for a princess.

While Shadow is not a husky (he’s a malamute), he’s got some drama, too. It’s hard watching him get older. At 12 1/2 he is starting to have accidents in the middle of the night or when we are gone for a bit too long. We got him some belly band dog diapers and he is seeming to do okay with them.

It is hard watching Shadow get older. The vet says we will know when it is time. I’m trying to ready my heart for that eventuality. Sighs.
