Hello! The new client rollout went very smoothly for the first two days. Whew! The first few days are always the roughest with any rollout and I am thankful that it went well. I love my job SO much. It is a blessing to have such an amazing job with a great company. I am always amazed when I look back on the last 6 years. if you had asked me a decade ago, I would have told you that I knew I’d be alive. <laughter> I wasn’t so sure that I would be successful or have a career, however. 6 years ago, I was still working at the warehouse where the project was coming to an end. I could have moved to Minnesota when it ended, but I knew that I am a southern girl who could not handle Minnesota weather! Ha ha.
Six years ago, I began searching for employment in North Carolina. Hoping and praying that I would be able to find something that would allow me to stay in my house. God provided! Here I am three promotions later in a wonderful career! A CAREER. Can you believe it? I have a career! A career with a company I will retire with. God is good.

The memories that pop up on social media are such a great reminder of all God has done. Not only has He provided a career for me, He turned the ashes into beauty. I really am living the dream! I am living my best life and enjoying work and recreation. We plan to retire in just under 5 years now. WOW. All things are possible with God.
Another notable memory popped up on social media yesterday. 11 years ago yesterday, my oldest son’s now wife adopted the cutest little kitten. When they married and moved out of state, they asked if I could adopt Rose. Rose is such an amazing cat. She is a lethal killer who keeps mice and snakes away. We found another dead mouse just the other day. Good girl, Rose.

I’ve enjoyed raising my grand cat the last 8 or so years. She’s been a blessing. It’s hard to believe that 11 years ago she was such a wee kitten. ❤️
In other news, I can now say for 100% certain that Smartwool Leggings are the best there are! Last month, I decided to try Woolx leggings and it did not go well. They are more expensive than Smartwool and of a lower quality, unfortunately. Both pairs I purchased had holes in less than a month. The fabric is also itchier than Smartwool. If you are in the market for hiking legging, check out Smartwool.
The overall feel of the Smartwool leggings is softer and more durable. They fit better and don’t “slide down” as you workout or hike. I had to keep pulling the Woolx leggings up. Both are advertised to be the fit for my usual size. I’ll end up using the Woolx leggings as base layers when it is cold. They are not horrible, simply not the right fit for hiking and backpacking.
I wear wool because wool is the only fabric that still insulates when wet. It also wicks moisture away when you sweat while drying quickly. I prefer leggings (and my little Smartwool skirt on top) to wearing traditional pants. They just work out better for me during our hikes and backpacking adventures.
