The infrequency with which I write might leave some to believe that I’m not doing a whole lot. <giggle> I feel like I am going a hundred miles an hour most days. I work long hours, so I try to enjoy every minute I am off work. Household chores interfere with that, but they need to be done.
Last weekend was the 3rd annual RiverFeast with our paddling group. We have really been blessed with a great group of kayaking friends. Not only did we do a Toys for Tots drive, we also did a fundraiser for a member whose wife has cancer. It was a fun fall day on the water for two causes. Well, three if you count the FEAST.
After having been up in the Shenandoah Valley for the ride in October, then riding along the New River Trail a few weeks later, by the time we got to paddling the Dan, I thought for sure ALL the leaves and color would be gone. Nope. God did not disappoint!

The water level was a little low, and the weather was a little cool, but it was really a perfect day. Most everyone either had dry suits or dry tops and skirts to keep warm. I won’t say a whole lot– just another river on just another day. A picture is worth a thousand words, so I’ll eave you with a few thousand words!
If you aren’t getting outside, you are missing SO much of the wonderful world we live in.

It looks gorgeous!
