I’d Rather be Waterboarded

This morning when I woke up, I did not want to paint. I told myself that I would rather be waterboarded. Not really, but you get it. I have painted every square inch of this house now. After church, Marty came over to start laying more floor. I got the baseboards done today and am cooking dinner as I ge this post together. I love the Wholesome Yum blog. I found an easy balsamic Italian chicken recipe and a cheesy asparagus recipe. Chicken is marinating and the asparagus is in the oven for the first run.

This is what we got done yesterday….. the room I am making for the grands and part of the hallway. I still have to paint all of the quarter round we bought a my new home away from home, Lowe’s Home Improvement. It was raining today, so I didn’t get it done.

I can’t wait until I can just live and work in my house again. <laughter> I’m just a little OCD about things being in order. So is Ghost. Last night, right at his 8pm bedtime, he came looking for the bed. He seemed a bit bothered that it was not in the usual location. He did settle and fall asleep….. it won’t be back in place tonight, either, but we are making headway on the floor and it is going to be my forever floor. If I lived with the nasty carpet for 18 years, I should be able to live with this at least 25, right?

It is going to be so nice when it is finally done. Anything worth having is worth working for….if you want to live in a nice house, it takes work. For sure. Whew.

This is Marty’s last weekend off until two weeks…… he think we should have it all complete by the beginning of the year. By we, I mean HE– he will have it done. I’m just the painter and I’m not the greatest painter. I just get the job done and it looks alright!

I keep meaning to write about the trip to the local dairy farm. About 40 minutes away, but they have fresh butter, eggs, milk, cream, ice cream and various other neat items for sale. Definitely need to bring the grands there.
