Jeep Wedding Photos

Daniel Captured the Happiness of the day in this one!

One thing I knew for sure when we decided to get married was that I wanted pictures of us on the big day with my Jeep. I scoured the Internet for wedding day Jeep photos and there weren’t many to be found. I decided that I would share mine here, just in case there are brides and grooms out there looking for ideas!

As I am a Jeep girl AND very outdoorsy, I did not want the traditional bridal portraits and wedding photos. Marty and I enjoy all sorts of outdoor activities together- cycling, hiking, camping, kayaking and other such things. While I did wear makeup on our wedding day, I don’t wear it very often. My usual attire is, well, outdoorsy. Even my work uniform is tactical 511 pants and a company logo shirt. I think I clean up pretty well. I do dress up for church every Sunday, of course!

A few weeks before the big day, I realized that we could back the Jeep up into the woods at church and get photos there. Daniel, one of the photographers, stopped by and thought it was the perfect spot, as well. I was so excited to hear the he felt this location would work. This meant less rushing around on the big day AND I wouldn’t have to drive in my dress in the Jeep before the ceremony!

We got one wall print and then ordered the digital package. I plan on making a wonderful wedding scrapbook, in my spare time. <laughter> They sent us the album late Friday and I was SO excited to see the pictures from the reception. We had already picked out the main digital photos for the package and they sent the reception photos, too. We didn’t have time to go through the receptions photos because work was calling……. literally.

One of my friends told me, “If my husband had said we were going to Acadia National park, or ANY National Park for our honeymoon, I wouldn’t have married him. This sums up exactly why Marty and I needed our first look and wedding day photos with my Jeep (now our Jeep). It’s who we are! Jeep people.

Of course, Marty’s truck is a Honda Ridgeline and there is an ongoing debate on whether or not it is a real truck. LOL He’s been trying to get the Honda wave off the ground, but hasn’t had any luck yet. AND…. notice we took the Jeep on our honeymoon. We needed a vehicle that could carry our kayaks and our bikes. Can’t do that in a Ridgeline. <smile> <wink>

Daniel and Audra both thought it would be amazing to get my Matron of Honor and my Bridesmaid out by the Jeep for photos, too. I really like how they incorporated them into the first look photos!!! At one point, Audra tripped over a tree root and really damaged her ankle– se needed to go to urgent care, but luckily Daniel was able to do the pictures of the ceremony and reception.

When we went to meet them just over a week ago, Audra was still in a boot! Bless her heart. We had to force her to go to urgent care. She was so worried about the wedding photos…..but I am glad she finally went.

I am SO happy with how these photos turned out. They captured our personalities perfectly. I am adding the one photoI shared in an earlier post, as well. It’s the one we will be hanging on our wall.

I’d love to hear what you think about the Jeep photos! Anyone out there reading this and looking for Jeep wedding phot ideas– I’d love to see your version in the comments!!!!

If you live in the Winston-Salem area– check out Adams-Lane photography if you like the way these photos turned out. I want to bring my dogs to their studio at some point to get portraits done. Yes, I am that dog owner. LOL

God gave us the perfect weather and perfect day to get married. I am blessed.

Wall Hanging!
